Single Event

WESHDA is a non-political and non-profit social organization started in 2005 with only 13 dedicated women members. The main objective was to ensure women’s education, justice, good governance, financial stability, social security and human rights. In view of this demand in 2006 the organization WESHDA got registration from the Department of Women Affairs of Bangladesh. In 2015, it was listed by the Department of Environment, 2017 it received recognition from the Department of Youth Development, 2017 it received registration from the Bureau of NGO Affairs of Bangladesh. And finally, in 2023, it received Women Entrepreneur Registration from the Bangladesh Government’s ‘Jayita Foundation’. At present the WESHDA is working on implementation of various development activities at the local and national level. In addition, it has acquired the ability to work as a development support organization for various domestic and foreign donor agencies. Presently the organization has 7000 direct beneficiaries and above 21000 indirect beneficiaries.
